Entrance Exam: NEET UG is one of the most competitive exams in India. Every year lakhs of students appear for it. But only a few thousand of them get admission in top medical colleges (like AIIMS, JIPMER).

Duration: 5.5 years (4.5 years of study + 1 year internship).

MBBS Syllabus: Broad and in-depth subjects like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, surgery, and medicine.

Practical Training: Need for practical experience in patient care, diagnosis, and surgical procedures.

2. MD/MS

3. DM/MCh (Doctorate of Medicine/Master of Chirurgiae)
The full form of DM/MCh is Doctorate of Medicine/Master of Chirurgiae. For this, the NEET SS exam is conducted.

Entrance Exam: After MD/MS, it is necessary to pass NEET SS (Super Specialty) exam. There are a limited number of seats in it.

Duration: 3 years.

Specialization: Highly specialized training in super specialty areas such as neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, gastroenterology, etc.

5. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
The full form of BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. These days the number of people taking admission to it has increased.

Admission: Through NEET-UG, equal competition with other medical courses.

Duration: 5.5 years (4.5 years studies + 1 year internship).
