Virat Kohli's name is synonymous with fitness and top-notch fielding in Indian cricket. Known for his sharp reflexes and consistency on the field, he rarely lets anything slip by. But during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, fans were left in shock when Kohli dropped a straightforward catch — something almost unheard of.
The moment came in the 16.6 over when Suyash Sharma bowled to Dhruv Jurel. the RR batter stepped forward and lofted the ball towards long-off, where Kohli was perfectly positioned. With little ground to cover, the catch seemed routine — yet Kohli misjudged it, letting it slip from his hands as soon as his knee touched the ground, before angrily flinging the ball back in frustration.
Fans troll Virat KohliIt didn't take long for his haters — ever eager for a reason — to start trolling the former RCB skipper. But alongside the trolls, many on X (formerly Twitter) expressed genuine shock, as it’s incredibly rare to see Kohli drop such a simple catch.

About RR vs RCB
Asked to bat first, RR posted a competitive 173 on a challenging pitch. Sanju Samson's dismissal underscored the difficulties for the batters, as the ball stayed low when he charged down the track, allowing Jitesh Sharma to complete a sharp stumping. Yashasvi Jaiswal (75 off 47), who top-scored for RR, also struggled for timing and fluency throughout his innings. But he held on until attempting to accelerate against Josh Hazlewood.
Riyan Parag (30 off 22) and Dhruv Jurel (35 off 23) provided valuable contributions. At the innings break, Jaiswal noted the pitch was two-paced, making it tricky for stroke play. The chase won't be easy, particularly if Jofra Archer bowls with pace early on.
