India's star batter grabbed plenty of headlines after accidentally liking a picture on a fan page of Bollywood actress Avneet Kaur. The incident spread like wildfire on social media, leading Kohli to issue a clarification on his Instagram account. However, the social media has been abuzz ever since the episode occurred.
The latest entrant in the trending episode is Delhi Police as they issued a witty warning by using Kohli's clarification. Notably, the Delhi Police handle is quite popular for their pop culture references and their creative social media activity. This time, they took to Instagram and posted a traffic warning for the citizens, but with a twist.
"We would like to clarify that while checking our cameras, it appears the algorithm has registered many interactions. It aims to punish the speeders and traffic rule violators. We request that no unnecessary speeding and stunts be done on public roads. Challans will be issued to the violators. Thank you for your understanding," wrote Delhi Police.
Notably, while clarifying the instance, Kohli had written: "I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding."
Meamwhile, Kohli IS currently playing in the IPL 2025 for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) AND is the leading run-scorer in the tournament. In 11 matches, he has scored 505 runs, at an average of 63.13.
The Bengaluru-based franchise has won eight out of 11 matches this season and is are the top of the IPL 2025 points table. They are on the verge of qualifying for the playoffs and with three more games to go, RCB also have a chance to finish in the top two positions.
