Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said on Wednesday its messaging app and Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI have agreed to a partnership to distribute Grok to its more than billion users.
"This summer, Telegram users will gain access to the best AI technology on the market. @elonmusk and I have agreed to a 1-year partnership to bring xAI’s @grok to our billion+ users and integrate it across all Telegram apps," Durov said in a post on X.
He further added how this deal will help Telegram's financial position. He said that the app will receive $300 million in cash and equity from xAI and 50% of revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via Telegram.
