Which toothpaste is right?
Pediatricians say that fluoride toothpaste is best for children. Fluoride strengthens teeth and prevents cavities. However, choose a toothpaste with a fluoride content that is safe for children's age.
How much toothpaste should be used?
If the child is younger than 3 years old, apply only a grain of toothpaste about the size of a grain of rice.
If the child is older than 3 years old, use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste.
There's no need to apply more toothpaste than this, as young children often swallow toothpaste while brushing.
