New Delhi: Amid tensions between India & Pakistan, India has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for a major air exercise along the southern section of the Indo-Pakistan border, set to take place on May 7 and 8.

The exercise, which is part of India's routine operational readiness drills, will involve the Indian Air Force (IAF) conducting maneuvers along the International Border in Rajasthan.

According to the NOTAM, the exercise is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM on May 7 and will continue until 9:30 PM on May 8, restricting airspace in the affected areas.

Besides, amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Union Home Minister has directed all states to conduct mock security drills on Wednesday, May 7, to deal with various emergency situations. The civil defence exercise will be conducted across the 259 locations with special focus on 244 designated Civil Defence Districts in the country, including Mumbai and Delhi.

Earlier yesterday, during a cordon and search operation in the forests around the Baisaran Valley, security forces arrested a suspicious man caught with a bulletproof jacket cover.

Notably, last week, a 23-year-old man, a resident of Tangmarg in Kulman, was arrested on suspicion of providing logistical support to the terrorists who killed 26 people, mostly tourists, in Pahalgam on April 22.
