Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A routine parking disagreement spiralled into violence when two Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) employees allegedly assaulted a young man late Sunday.
Shubham Verma, the complainant, told police he was trying to pass through a narrow road near the Loha Mandi water tank when he honked at two men blocking the way. The two — identified as Sonu Verma and Rohit — were allegedly drunk and took offence. An argument broke out, and in no time, they began thrashing Shubham with sticks and pipes.
The duo also vandalised his rickshaw before fleeing. Police have booked both men under relevant sections and are investigating further.

What began as a minor scuffle over personal space inside a club turned bloody when a youth smashed a beer bottle on another patron’s head.
The incident took place at the ‘Underdoggs’ club in Apollo Heights. Ayush Jain, a resident of Saket Nagar, reported that while he was standing near a table, another youth, identified as Yuvraj, brushed past him. When Ayush asked him to be careful, Yuvraj allegedly began hurling abuses and in a flash of rage, hit him on the head with a beer bottle.
Lasudia police registered a case against Yuvraj under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Youth booked for molesting woman
A 35-year-old woman had a terrifying experience late Sunday night when a man barged into her home and began misbehaving with her.
According to her complaint filed at Juni Indore police station, the accused, Lakhan Maurya from Jabran Colony, entered her house while she was cooking. He allegedly snatched her phone, misbehaved with her, and tried to force her into marrying him. When she resisted, he threatened to consume poison and implicate her and her family.
The woman’s cries for help forced Lakhan to flee. Police have booked the accused and launched a search for him.
Corporator’s son manhandled in paan shop dispute, cross FIR’s filed
A late-night quarrel at a paan stall in Bhanwarkuan took a twist when the son of a local corporator was booked for assault.
Mukesh Yadav, the shopkeeper, alleged that Gaurav Sharma demanded tobacco on credit. When denied, Gaurav got aggressive and allegedly assaulted Mukesh. A bystander, Sumit Hardia — son of corporator Sunita Hardia — tried to intervene but was reportedly manhandled too.
In the scuffle, Mukesh claimed he lost his gold chain and some cash. However, Gaurav filed a counter-complaint against both Mukesh and Sumit. Bhanwarkuan police have registered cross FIRs, and the matter is under investigation.
