Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti today in what sources described as a courtesy meeting. According to insiders, such meetings are customary for Thackeray whenever a new police commissioner assumes office.
During the 20–25 minute interaction, Raj Thackeray assured Commissioner Bharti that he and his party are always willing to cooperate with the Mumbai Police in maintaining law and order in the city.
Sources said that Thackeray expressed confidence in the police leadership and conveyed that whenever the police require assistance from him or his party, they would be ready to offer their full support.
He further reaffirmed his party’s consistent commitment to assisting the Mumbai Police in ensuring the city’s peace and security.
