Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event held in New York. The new clamshell-style foldables run on the latest Android 16 with One UI 18. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 arrives as a premium offering with a sleeker design, a redesigned cover screen, and the new Exynos 2500 chipset, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE becomes Samsung’s first foldable in the FE series, positioned as an affordable alternative with the Exynos 2400 processor. Both smartphones feature Galaxy AI integration, with tools aimed at boosting productivity, creativity, and real-time translation. Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Fold 7and the Galaxy Watch 8 series.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 starts at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 1,21,999. It is available in Blue Shadow, Coral Red, Jetblack, and a Mint shade, the last being exclusive to Samsung India’s online store.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, meanwhile, starts at Rs. 89,999 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration, and the 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 95,999, offered in Black and White colour options.
Pre-orders for both models are now live on Samsung’s official website, and open sales begin July 25. As part of a limited-time offer valid till July 12, buyers can get the higher storage variant at the price of the base model for both phones.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 specifications
Detailing specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 features a larger 4.1-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED cover screen that replaces the folder-shaped outer display seen on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It houses a 6.9-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness, delivering immersive visuals. The cover screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the device is built with an Armor Aluminium frame and a re-engineered Armor FlexHinge, making it slimmer than its predecessor at 6.5mm when unfolded and 13.7mm when folded.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is powered by Samsung’s latest 3nm Exynos 2500 SoC, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. On the camera front, the phone features a dual rear setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor with 2x optical-quality zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. A 10-megapixel front camera is placed on the main screen for selfies and video calls.
AI capabilities are at the core of the Samsung Galaxy Flip 7’s user experience. It supports Google’s Gemini, Circle to Search, and Galaxy AI features like Call Assist, Transcript Assist, Note Assist, Now Bar, and Now Brief. The ProVisual Engine enhances image capture and editing with tools like Photo Assist and Nightography. A 4,300mAh battery powers the device and the phone is also rated IP48 for dust and water resistance.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE marks Samsung’s entry into the mid-range foldable market. It retains the classic clamshell design with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display (up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate) and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen that supports interactive widgets and custom wallpapers.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model is slightly thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, measuring 6.9mm when unfolded and 14.9mm when folded. It has an Armor Aluminium frame and an IP48-rated build.
It is powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, previously seen in the Galaxy S24 series, and comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The camera setup mirrors that of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, featuring a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with 2x optical zoom, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The ProVisual Engine enables features like Dual Preview and Nightography.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE offers a full suite of Galaxy AI tools. Notably, it also supports Live Translate with third-party apps, and features Call Transcript, Interpreter, and Call Assist. It houses a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
