Thane: The Manpada Police have arrested three individuals, including a woman, for allegedly possessing 1.93 kilograms of Mephedrone (MD) powder valued at ₹2.12 crore. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a residence in Khoni Palava, Dombivli, where the contraband was discovered.
According to officials, a team received reliable information about suspicious activity at a residence on Thursday night at 11.AM. A team was immediately dispatched to the location, where a search of the premises led to the seizure of contraband and the arrest of three suspects.
Subsequently, the suspects were brought in for questioning, following which a First Information Report (FIR) was registered. The FIR has been lodged under Sections 8(c), 21(C), and 22(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The accused were produced in court and remanded to police custody for further investigation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Atul Zende of the Kalyan Division, Thane Police, said, “We also formed two additional teams, as further suspects were believed to be involved in the operation. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accused were part of a drug distribution network. One group was responsible for procuring the substance, while another handled its sale in the local area.”
