An accident was narrowly averted on the Purvanchal Expressway in Ghazipur district when a private bus traveling from Delhi to Patna collided with a road divider. The incident occurred near Budhanpur Camp in the Kasimabad police station area. According to police, the accident happened when the bus driver dozed off, losing control of the vehicle. The front portion of the bus was heavily damaged, but all 60 passengers survived, with only minor injuries reported.
Local residents quickly informed the police, who launched a rescue operation and used a crane to remove the damaged bus from the road. Traffic was restored shortly afterward. Passengers were sent to their destinations through alternative arrangements.

Notably, a similar accident occurred near the same spot in March 2024, involving a speeding truck, which resulted in one fatality.
