The most surprising thing is that no pillar was used in the construction of this 221-foot-high clock tower. This clock tower was built on the lines of Big Ben in London. The name is Rumi Darwaza, which is one of the historical buildings of Lucknow. In the year 1784, Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula started building Rumi Darwaza and Imambara, which were two ghats. It was completed in 1786. This gate is approximately 60 feet high. Rumi Darwaza is an excellent example of Awadh architecture, the design of this gate closely resembles the entrance of the Turkish Sultan's court, so people also know it as the 'Turkish Gate'.

Bada Imambara/Bhool Bhulaiya
Bada Imambara or Aasifi Imambara, one of the historical buildings of Lucknow, was built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. Its founder was Kifayat-Ullah. Islam has a deep influence on the architecture here. The biggest specialty of this Imambara is the Bhulaiya built here. The winding paths of this Bhulaiya, fine artworks like artwork, carvings, and secret tunnels make it more special.

It is said that he built it for his Begum Sikander Mahal, who was his favorite Begum. Nawab Sahab named it Sikandar Bagh after her.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Park
Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, which is located at Parivartan Chowk. This place park is not only beautiful but has its own identity and history. Begum Hazrat Mahal, also known as the Begum of Awadh, was the second wife of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Awadh. After her husband was exiled to Calcutta by the British, she captured Lucknow and maintained her rule over the princely state of Awadh. Begum Hazrat Mahal, who played an important role in the freedom struggle, led the 1857 revolution from Lucknow. This park is named in her memory.
