ITV's Dr Amir Khan says 'I'm a daddy' as he shows off family addition

ITV regular guest star Dr Amir Khan has made fans swoon after showcasing a family addition. The full-time GP is known for his appearances on shows such as Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, and when he isn't busy working he also shares regular updates with his "team" of fans on Instagram.

Dr Amir has built up quite the following, regularly imparting medical advice, as well as debunking common myths. And he also shares photos and videos from his personal life.

On Friday morning, the GP told his followers: "I'm the best daddy ever" as he uploaded a video. The clip started with Dr Amir stirring a pot on the hob in his kitchen as a baby could be heard crying.

Ever the joker, Dr Amir had added the sound effect to trick his fans, as he then bent down and picked up his cat. Text over the video read: "Me being a daddy".

Fans clearly found the footage adorable, as one wrote: "Aww I was wondering then but I have to say I’d have that baby anytime. She’s beautiful [and] much less bother xxxxx". A second said: "Fabulous I love it! There’s nothing more gorgeous than cuddle time with our fur babies the joy it brings is precious and priceless."

A third added: "Honestly same but my dog is a 37kg golden retriever so I don't know who ends up holding who".
