The body of a man was found close to an offshore windfarm, as local police begin an investigation into his death.
have launched an investigation after the grim discovery on Wednesday evening after the Coastguard raised the alarm at around 6.40pm. It was conformed the man was found in New Brighton near Burbo Wind Farm, as a police spokesman described the man's death as "unexplained". His next of kin have been informed by specialist officers who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.

A spokesman told "At around 6.40pm, we received a report from HM Coastguard that a man was sadly pronounced deceased off New Brighton near Burbo Wind Farm.
"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances into the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
"The next-of-kin have been informed and being supported by specially trained officers.
