Netflix viewers are rejoicing after the streamer announced a comedy series will be making a comeback with a second season.
Premiering in July 2025, the 16-episode sitcom made its debut in the Netflix Global Top 10 chart and it comes from a beloved stand-up star.
The series in question is Leanne Morgan’s comedy series Leanne, with Morgan announcing: "We’re coming back for a second season!
"I am so grateful to all the writers, producers, Netflix, WB, our amazing cast, and especially for all the fans of the show. Y’all did this for us, and we can’t wait to be back!"
Co-creator and executive producer Lorre hailed Morgan a "comedic genius", adding: "This has been an incredible journey that began with a visit to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Inspired by her stand-up, the sitcom follows Leanne after her husband of 33 years leaves her unexpectedly for another woman.
With the support of her family, Leanne learns to find the light in the darkest of places.
The series is not the only success for Morgan, as since the beginning of 2023 her I'm Every Woman show has been Netflix’s most-viewed stand-up special from a female comedian globally.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise the star following her season two announcement, with Lisa saying: "I’m so happy for her! That’s awesome, I really enjoyed the first season."
