Nicole Kidman has made her first public appearance since news of her shock divorce from Keith Urban broke. The 58-year-old Australian star is to be divorced a second time, 24 years after her first marriage to Tom Cruise, collapsed.
After divorcing the Cocktail star, Nicole fell for American country singer Keith, 57, with the pair marrying in 2006 and welcoming two daughters together. But last month, it was revealed that the pair were calling time on their marriage after 19 years.
Now the Oscar-winning star has made a return to the spotlight - attending an award ceremony in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night. The Moulin Rouge star honoured television showrunner Taylor Sheridan at the amfAR Dallas Gala, where she presented her with an award.

Handing out the gong, Nicole declared: "I think what Taylor recognises, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we're better when we look out for each other."
She added: "That, of course, is why we're here tonight. What better way to support, to elevate our common humanity, than to help fund bold and innovative research?"
The star attended the event in a chic black gown and posed for photographs alongside Taylor as well as Kevin McClatchy and T. Ryan Greenawalt. A source told People that the star had been apprehensive about her divorce becoming public knowledge.
They claimed the Aussie star had: "Been stressed [for months] because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading [the public's response]."
The source added: "She's surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it's out she's just focused on what's ahead and her girls." Meanwhile, Keith - with whom Nicole shares daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14 - has seemingly addressed his marriage woes during his current tour.
Fans noticed that a song believed to be soon-to-be ex-wife has been dropped from his set list. He returned to the stage at the Giant Centre in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Thursday night.
Fans took note that his 2016 song, The Fighter - which he previously described as being written for Kidman, had been chopped from the list of songs he would perform. He has regularly performed the track during past tours, with lyrics that include: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter.”
Eyebrows have been raised after some fans noticed him changing the lyrics of The Fighter to include fiddle player Maggie Baugh’s name, singing, “Maggie, I’ll be your fighter.” She later reposted the clip with the caption, “Did he just say that,” sparking rumours of a possible romance
Fans have also noticed that Keith and Nicole's daughter, Sunday, has been pressing on with work despite the family upheaval. She has been in Paris working during Fashion Week - and posted updates from a Dior show in the past week.
The 17-year-old posted a video and snap of her catwalk work on Instagram, her first post since her parents' divorce was revealed. In the caption, she wrote: "J'adore dior." Comments were turned off on the post, as they are for all of the model's uploads. She also posted several stories from behind the scenes.
Nicole and Keith's divorce reportedly "suffered irreconcilable differences", prompting Kidman to begin divorce proceedings.
Divorce documents include a detailed parenting plan, with Kidman set to be the primary residential parent for 306 days of the year. Urban will have the remaining 59. The filing states both girls will remain in Nashville, where they’ve lived their whole lives.
