Patrice Evra has challenged to an MMA fight after it was announced that the former defender was with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
has been training since 2016 with longtime friend Cedric Doumbe, who competes in the PFL's welterweight division and has a 6-1 record, having transitioned to MMA from kickboxing in 2021.
Evra is set to make his MMA debut at PFL Europe Paris on May 23 and he has called out Suarez for a fight 13 years after the former striker was given an eight-game ban for racially abusing him.
And Evra also made reference to Suarez being involved in three separate biting incidents throughout his career in a post on social media. "BREAKING: I'm officially training for my first fight with @PFLEurope," Evra wrote.

"They will pick my opponent... They asked who I wanna face. I said: Luis Suarez. I'll pay out of pocket. He can even bite me."
Evra's opponent for his first fight next month is yet to be announced. "I've performed on the world's biggest stages, won every major trophy in football, but PFL Europe Paris will be an incredibly special night for me," he added.
"I've been training alongside the best in the for years, and they'll also tell you I'm ready for this. I'm going to put on a show at the Accor Arena on 23 May, so come watch the spectacle."
PFL CEO Pete Murray added: "I'm told he loves this game as much as us, and we'll find out on 23 May. We're incredibly excited to have the superstar that is Patrice Evra fight under the PFL banner, as we're all about exciting match-ups and making history.
