Stephen Bunting has revealed how he spent his earnings from the World Darts Championship. After a successful run to the semi-finals at Alexandra Palace, where he was defeated by eventual champion Luke Littler, 'The Bullet' pocketed a cool £100,000.
Despite many fans rooting for him to clinch the PDC title, having previously been crowned BDO champion in 2014, fell short against Littler. It matched his best run in 2021, however, the 41-year-old didn't let the defeat dampen his spirits for too long.
When he returned home, instead of splurging on a flashy car or other luxury items, he decided to invest in something more meaningful for his family.

"Part of my money went on the garden and then we've also just bought a caravan in a Haven site in North Wales," Bunting told Spin Bet. “It’s a lovely get away from the house and from playing darts to spend some time with my family.
"Haven sites are always great for the kids so there is plenty to do there, and it isn't too far away with it being an hour-and-a-half from down the road. I can be in my own luxury caravan out the way and loving life.
"After the Worlds, I didn't get much time off because I came back on the day of the final, got home and had not seen the baby for a week and I had her in my arms. My manager then rang me and said I was going to Germany for a pro-am gala, so I wasn't at home too much to spend any money."
Bunting is enjoying the riches of darting success with £573,000 under his belt, ranking him fourth in the PDC Order of Merit. Hot on the heels of the World Championship, he secured both the Bahrain Masters and his inaugural European Tour title at the International Open in Germany, pocketing £30,000 for each win.
In what has been a tough campaign, the world No. 4 savoured his sole victory in Germany last month. Bunting was invited back to be part of the eight-man for the first time in a decade, thanks to his impressive World Championship performance.
Yet, 'The Bullet' endured eight straight losses until clinching victory on night nine in Berlin. His Premier League season ended in Sheffield on Thursday, where Littler ousted him in the quarter-finals.
With a record of one win, one runner-up spot, a couple of semi-final appearances, and 12 early exits, Bunting finished bottom of the Premier League Darts table with 12 points, narrowly missing out on surpassing Rob Cross’s 14 points. Bunting's Premier League earnings totalled a rewarding £60,000, which includes a £10k bonus for his night win.

Littler dominated the Premier League, finishing at the top with 45 points after securing six night victories. Luke Humphries trailed behind in second place, 11 points adrift of the leader, with three night wins to his name. Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn secured the remaining two spots in the top four.
The stage is now set for the play-offs on Thursday, May 29, at The O2 in London. Defending champion Littler will go head-to-head with Price, while Humphries will face off against Aspinall in a thrilling showdown to crown the Premier League winner.
