The wife of Weezer bassist is "alright" despite being shot by police on Wednesday.
Jillian Lauren allegedly led police on a chaotic chase following a hit-and-run crash in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. Following this, police traced Lauren, who is an author, to her home, where .
Speaking outside the property on Thursday, Shriner, 59, told reporters: "She's (Lauren) alright, thank you for asking." The musician also took this as an opportunity to plug his band's upcoming show. He added: "See you at Coachella."
There was concern this weekend following the arrest. However, Shriner gave a hint plans haven't changed for the alternative rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 1992. Following a three-year break, Shriner became bassist in 2001, replacing Mikey Welsh, who had left the band for personal reasons.

It looks as though the rock group will still take to the Mojave Stage for Weekend One in California this Saturday at 3.10pm. The popular music festival kicks off this weekend and takes place on April 11 to April 13, before returning for its second weekend on April 18 until April 20.
Lauren, who married Shriner in 2005, was taken to hospital with "a non-life-threatening gunshot wound" following the incident this week. She recovered from the injury but was arrested at the hospital, it is understood. Police said they took a nine-millimeter handgun from her home upon examining the abode before the arrest.

Witnesses spoke to Los Angeles-based TV station KTLA about what they saw on Wednesday. Alana Altmeyer said: "I saw a gentleman walking on the shoulder - so, my brother and I went over and assumed that he was leaving the scene of an accident." The US has contacted the LAPD and Weezer for comment.
Weezer won a Grammy in 2009 for Best Music Video for the song Pork and Beans, which sold more than one million copies in the US. Their biggest tune in the UK was 2005's Beverly Hills, which peaked at ninth place in our singles charts.
