PS5 owners can take advantage of a special bonus this weekend, as Sony makes online multiplayer available for free.
In order to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of PlayStation Plus, all PS5 and PS4 owners can play online multiplayer from 12.01am BST on June 28, until 11.59pm BST on June 29.
This means you can play the likes of Elden Ring Nightreign in groups, EA FC 25 against human opposition, and Overcooked with friends.
Sony explains more: "We'll have an Online Multiplayer weekend this Saturday and Sunday (June 28 at 12:01am to June 29 at 11:59pm local time) where all players can join online multiplayer matches with no PlayStation Plus membership required."
The free online multiplayer weekend is just one of many bonuses available to celebrate the anniversary of PlayStation Plus.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, for example, can check out trials of WWE 2K25 and Monster Hunter Wilds.
There's also an exclusive sale for PlayStation Plus subscribers, which runs from June 27 until June 29.
It's not quite on par with the Steam Summer Sale, but there are discounts on the likes of Sniper Elite: Resistance, Sid Meier's Civilization VII and Star Wars Outlaws.
Elsewhere, there's a brand new free Valorant Pack for PS Plus members, which contains two Prelude to Chaos Gun Buddies, a Kohaku & Matsuba Player Card, one Imperium Spray, one Chronovoid Spray, and ten Radianite Points.
There's even a chance to win prizes courtesy of a selection of PlayStation Tournaments.
Sony explains more: "Players will get the opportunity to compete in popular titles like EA Sports FC, NBA 2K, UFC, Madden NFL, College Football, Tekken 8, and more for a chance to win prizes including in-game virtual currency, an exclusive PSN avatar, and Sony Pictures Core Movie Credits.
"Access the Tournament through custom tournament cards or the in-game menu, choose your competition, and prepare to showcase your skills in exciting 1v1 matchups."
Finally, PlayStation Plus Premium members can unlock a 15% discount on up to 2,000 movies from the Sony Pictures Core library.
To coincide with the announcement of the free online multiplayer weekend, Sony revealed the PS Plus games for July 2025. The line-up includes Diablo 4, King of Fighters 15 and Jusant.
