and are reportedly invited to a dinner for potential participants. Their possible attendance could hint that they are set to be included in Keegan Bradley's Team USA for the 2025 tournament against Team Europe.
The dinner will reportedly involve the top 20 in the US Ryder Cup standings. DeChambeau and Koepka both play on the LIV Golf tour but they are eligible to play in the Ryder Cup, which takes place in September. Last year, Bradley insisted that he will consider selecting any player regardless of which tour they play on. Koepka featured in 2023.
DeChambeau is sixth in the USA's Ryder Cup standings, which could give him an automatic berth when the selections are made. Koepka is 91st but could win a place if Bradley decides he wants to take the 35-year-old.
According to the , both players were invited to a dinner which will be held at the Truist Championship. Not only were the top 20 players in the USA's Ryder Cup standings invited, but also those who played in the 2023 team and the 2024 Presidents Cup team.
Last year, Bradley said of selecting players from LIV Golf: "I'm going to have the 12 best players on the team. I don't care where they play. We have a mission to win this tournament. I'm not worried about the LIV stuff. I want the best players on the team."
DeChambeau and Koepka are both due to play at the PGA Championship this month. Koepka is a three-time winner of the tournament, having succeeded consecutively in 2018 and 2019, before triumphing again in 2023.
Both players will be hoping for better performances than they produced at the Masters. DeChambeau started the final round at Augusta paired with McIlroy but quickly fell away. Koepka was cut from the field after two disastrous rounds.
Having watched McIlroy go on to win the Masters, DeChambeau inadvertently snubbed the Northern Irishman when picking his potential winner of the PGA Championship.
The 31-year-old said: "My goal is to win every tournament that I show up to. Scottie is on a great run. Joaquin Niemann is on a great run. Jon Rahm has been playing well. There's a lot of star-studded talent out there right now that's going to be in the PGA Championship. We're going to be battling it out."
