Jessie J has shared an emotional health update with fans, just a month after revealing that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 37-year-old powerhouse posted an emotional video to her social media account, from her hospital bed, before she shared some Stories explaining how things have been going for her since having surgery earlier this week.
In the posts, Jessie delightfully shared that the cancer "has all gone". However, she shared that she is struggling with the pain from her operation as she recovers. The Price Tag hitmaker told fans the 'pros' following her op on Instagram, saying: "Cancer is all gone. My nipple is where it used to be, I can watch Love Island with no guilt. I am getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever. My mum lives with us. Sky just being Sky. Chanan making me feel safe and the messages are 10/10. Connecting with other people who are going through a similar time and being able to support each other."
But then she also shared the downside to her recovery, in an honest admission, adding a list of her 'cons' of the surgery. In a heartbreaking confession, she wrote: "Not being the mum I'm used to being and picking Sky up."
She added: "The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone - the mental with this is... The pain and discomfort is ok and expected but a d******d when I'm trying to sleep."
Jessie finished her health update by candidly admitting how she has been left with constipation due to her general anaesthetic and painkillers. The only painkillers she has been allowed to take are paracetamol and ibuprofen due to having low blood pressure.
In a previous post, Jessie shared a clip of her all gowned up in a hospital bed as she shared that she had been in hospital for six and a half hours, anxiously waiting to go down to theatre. She captioned the clip: "This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.
"I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results."
She ended with words of support for other people on a cancer journey, writing: "Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!"
