Manchester United could kill two birds with one stone when they sell Jadon Sancho this summer, with Juventus reportedly weighing up an enticing swap offer. Sancho joins Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho in the shop window as part of Ruben Amorim's planned attacking shake-up.
United are desperate to offload the 25-year-old winger after Chelsea paid a £5million fine to back out of their £25m obligation to turn his loan permanent. In recent weeks, Serie A has emerged as a possible destination, with both Napoli and Juventus in the running to secure his signature. And the latter are said to have a trick up their sleeve to convince United to send Sancho to Turin rather than Naples.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have remained close to Sancho's camp since last summer, when they were interested in a deal before Chelsea sealed a season-long loan.
It's claimed that contact between the £73m flop and Juve is ongoing, and a potential transfer is alive, despite the Serie A outfit undergoing changes in the football hierarchy.
The report adds that Juventus general manager Damien Comolli is looking to form a swap deal offer to accommodate a move.
Douglas Luiz could potentially be on the table after he struggled to settle in Italy after leaving Aston Villa.
He was said to be interested in a Premier League return in January when United were touted as suitors.
However, Juventus are also reportedly ready to offer the Red Devils a solution that could solve another problem that Amorim wants to address later this summer.
Old Lady striker Dusan Vlahovic is said to be considered as an option to send to Old Trafford after he rejected offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
The Serb reportedly hopes to find a new club elsewhere in Europe, and a Premier League arrival could appeal as he explores his next challenge.
Vlahovic is out of contract in 2026, so there appears to be a mutual understanding between the player and Juventus that it is an ideal time to part ways.
Amorim wants to sign a new striker after Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo - once United boost his budget through player sales.
Cunha has already arrived from Wolves in a £62.5m transfer, while negotiations are ongoing to strike a deal with Brentford for Mbeumo.
With Liam Delap opting for Chelsea and Viktor Gyokeres prioritising Arsenal and Liverpool also in the race for Hugo Ekitike, Vlahovic represents an appealing fallback option.
Considering the level at which Sancho's relationship with United supporters has diminished, he would be welcomed with open arms if it meant the England international was off the wage bill.
