Marcus Rashford spoke out after helping Barcelona secure a 2-1 victory over Newcastle in the Champions League. The 27-year-old, who is on loan at Barca from Manchester United, was named man-of-the-match after producing his finest performance to date for the Spanish giants.
Rashford joined Barcelona from the Red Devils in July following a difficult spell at Old Trafford. The winger endured a tough run of form during his final two seasons in Manchester and was shipped off on loan to Aston Villa during the second half of the last campaign. He failed to find the back of the net in his first four matches for Barca, despite the fact his new side have scored 13 goals and remained unbeaten in their opening four La Liga encounters. But he was at his best as he returned to England on Thursday, with Barcelona taking all three points back to Spain with them.
Following his scintillating performance at St James' Park, Rashford was quizzed about the early part of his Barcelona career as he spoke to TNT Sports.
And the England international insisted: "It's going good. I'm obviously learning a lot. It's a new way of football but I'm enjoying it all and I think it's making me a better player.
"That's what I'm here to do. I'm here to help the team win but also to improve and be the best I can be.

"It's an amazing experience. I've always been a huge admirer of Barcelona. Most people my age have watched them play since we were younger. It's amazing football, amazing players and we just want to win as much as possible."
He continued: "The fans want to see their team win and play good football. This isn't an easy place to play football, I know that firsthand. The first half was very cagey. But we done well and controlled the game in spells.
"It's very difficult to play against this team. I'm really pleased that we managed to win."
Rashford's second goal was a rocket, with the winger unleashing a venomous effort past Newcastle keeper Nick Pope from outside of the box.
And discussing the strike, he explained: "It was a split second, I felt there was a gap, I could see the far post out of the corner of my eye. I thought try to get a shot off. Their player was trying to block it so I tried to lift it a little.
"I tried to aim high and I knew when I caught it, it would take the keeper some doing to stop it."
He added: "A hundred per cent I'm full of excitement. I'm very motivated and determined. The quality we have in the team excites me alone. It's so refreshing to play with these guys. The team is so young and they play with such confidence and understanding of the game."
