The UK Post Office is experiencing an outage impacting service and branches, according to reports filed by several users. In a post on X, the Post Office wrote: "We're aware of an outage impacting our branches. The issue is being worked on and things should be back to normal later this afternoon. Thanks for your patience."
One social media user commented in response: "All counters at mine closed. It is already later this afternoon." Another added: "I've visited multiple POs and been told that it's a nationwide outage and all POs won't be trading for the rest of the day."
Downdector, a site allowing for the public to report issues and outages with a variety of services, shows that the first logged problem with the Post Office was at 13:35 today. Since then, thousands of Brits have reported issues with their mail branches, which suggest a mass outage.
