Manchester United will be confident in Ruben Amorim's ability to improve results next season with two of the Premier League's most productive attackers now in his team. The arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo mark an encouraging summer transfer window so far, but there is still plenty of work to do.
United are in the process of offloading Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Tyrell Malacia. Meanwhile, Amorim is said to be eyeing a new striker to complete his attacking overhaul, as well as a midfielder and goalkeeper, if the budget allows. With less than three weeks to go until the 2025/26 season starts, clubs are approaching the business end of the window.
Express Sport looks at three developments that would leave United in great shape to enjoy a considerably better campaign.
Benjamin Sesko signsUnited appear to have accelerated their interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as Newcastle United push to lure him to St. James' Park.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have been in contact with Sesko's camp in recent hours to discuss details like his potential contract and Amorim's project.
The 22-year-old is said to have a gentleman's agreement with Leipzig that would allow him to leave for around £60m, should the right opportunity arrive.
Reports in Germany add that Sesko would prefer to join United rather than Newcastle if he is to land in the Premier League.

While Malacia's exit is not likely to raise significant funds, Garnacho, Antony, and Sancho represent financial opportunities.
Garnacho is reportedly valued at £40m, while it's claimed that United are looking for £50m to part ways with Antony and £20m to offload Sancho.
Amorim has publicly insisted that the club will stick to their valuations of all three players in a warning to suitors planning to leave a swoop late in the hope of a cut-price deal.
Should United pocket the fees they are looking for, it would significantly boost the budget and undoubtedly unlock further signings.

Gianluigi Donnarumma joinsGianluigi Donnarumma looks set for a surprise Paris Saint-Germain exit this summer after entering the final 12 months of his contract with no success in extension talks.
PSG plan to sign Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier as his replacement, with United among the clubs touted as Donnarumma's potential next destination.
Whether the 26-year-old would be interested in a move to Manchester remains to be seen, but there could be an attractive deal to be done, given his contract status.
Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens and Emi Martinez have also been linked, with Amorim seemingly unconvinced by Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.
