The finish line in in sight at the Shanghai Masters, with one semi-final already set - Novak Djokovic vs Valentin Vacherot. Monegasque qualifier Vacherot has been the breakout story of the tournament. Currently ranked at No. 204 in the world, he's now set to make his top 100 debut next week.
As for Djokovic, the No. 4 seed is arguably the favourite to lift the trophy as one of just two former champions and one of two top-10 players left in the draw. But the 38-year-old has struggled in most of his matches, and has now revealed that he is facing "issues" every day.
Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Arthur Rinderknech - who is Vacherot's cousin - will now be trying to join them in the semis. And Roger Federer is set to return to the court fo his annual Shanghai Masters exhibition.
Over in Wuhan, Aryna Sabalenka takes on Elena Rybakina in a blockbuster quarter-final. Rybakina is hunting a place in the WTA Finals, as is Jasmine Paolini, who faces Iga Swiatek for a spot in the semi-finals.
