One visitor said: "Unlike its more famous peers in the west and north of the island, Le Morne beach is not often the subject of recommendations. However it is quite charming in its own right and extremely accessible for anyone staying in the south west.
"The beach has wide parking lots and a considerable amount of waterfront. The tourist numbers are quite low and we felt there were more domestic tourists than foreigners."
The beach which has an impressive 4.6-star rating, also has a cafe nearby with "great food" which is particularly great for UK holidaymakers as prices are very cheap across the island, with the average meal at an inexpensive restaurant costing just under £6 and setting Brits back only £1.89.
