This is why Trump was elected - and the woke elite will hate it

Donald Trump - the 47th President of the United States!

Who'd have believed it? Who would have dreamed that the man his enemies are so desperate to remind us is a sexist bully and a convicted felon could have kicked the giggly, self-righteous, Kamala Harris' backside so far into the long grass it's unlikely to ever be seen again.

This was one of THE biggest resurrections in political history. Even more historic because Trump is one of only TWO presidents ever to win two non-consecutive terms.

So what made millions of American people give their vote to Marmite Man (or should that be The Orange One) . Was it the fact that the two- faced, slippery Obamas, who initially refused to endorse Harris because they thought she was so lame, suddenly decided she was the best thing since sliced bread and kept telling the American people they just HAD to vote for her?

Was the endless stream, of multi-millionaire A list celebrities who seemed to think just the fact they're celebrities gave them the right to tell ordinary, hardworking ( and skint) American people who they should vote for.

Was it the fact Kamala " I've Got No Policies" Harris ran THE worst presidential campaign in living memory and somehow imagined she could giggle and joke her way to the Whitehouse on a sycophantic wave of celebrity endorsements without ever telling the American people how she was going to instigate the change she kept banging on about?

Or was it just the fact that millions of Americans heard what Trump was offering and wanted it? Was it the fact that they wanted an end to the woke, gender politics - Kamala had a habit of introducing herself by her pro nouns not realising the majority of American people have no time for this stuff.

Was it the fact they saw how weak and ineffective Biden had been in face of aggressors like Russia, China and Iran and realised Harris would be 100 times weaker and worse.

Or was it because when Trump was economy was booming, the country became energy independent, unemployment fell to historic levels . Was it because Trump encouraged and understood entrepreneurship and unlike Kier Starmer - who doesn't understand aspiration and hammered it in the recent budget - Trump absolutely understands that aspiration is STILL the American Dream.

And Trump's mantra - Lets Make America Great again together with this decisive vote by the American people has showed that's exactly what they want too. And no amount of whingeing and bleating from the cultural elites is going to change that.

And those who sneer at Trump's victory and who try to write off the people who voted for him as ingrates and idiots don't really understand the essence of democracy. The American people in their multi millions have spoken and they want what The Donald is offering.

And the fact is the world WILL be a safer place with Trump in charge. Forget some of the ludicrous things he's said , forget the orange face, forget the dubious personality - the problems this volatile world is currently facing are way bigger than all of that.

What's needed is a Leader of the Free World who isn't afraid to confront authoritarian regimes, who isn't cowed or swayed by threats from Russia or China, someone who will be a strong, decisive president who will bring stability and leadership to this crazy world.

Biden's administration has been cowardly and weak in the face of aggression form China and Iran. Those countries didn't fear Sleepy Joe. They laughed at his weakness. And they'd have done to same to Kamala Harris. She was never going to be a force to be reckoned with. But Trump is. Those countries fear him because of his unpredictability, his Mad Dog tactics. They'll never know what he's going to do or when he's going to do it which puts them all at a disadvantage.

Trump is dead right when he says no wars started during his reign.

I doubt Putin would have just walked into Ukraine had Trump been in charge. I'm also pretty sure Iran wouldn't have got as uppity if Trump had been President.

But whatever the world thinks of Donald Trump The Man, what needs to be respected is Trump The Leader. Who'd have believed he could have pulled this off for a second consecutive time( the only other president to do it was was Grover Cleveland) and with such a convincing margin.

But what it says to me is that people have had enough of woke, of posturing, of identity politics and net zero and they're terrified by a world that feels increasingly unstable and dangerous. So the fact the American people have handed Trump the Presidency shows they believe he can make it less so.

And they could be right!
