Samsung's Galaxy smartphones are the bestselling phones in the world, but many of the most popular models such as the cost at least £799 or more, with the top of the range costing £1,249.

That's too much for most people to spend on a phone, and reasonably so, but it's possible to pick up a Samsung Galaxy for hundreds less - and in this deal we've just found, under £100, even.

Thanks to high street retailer Argos, you can currently Android phone for . It's listed as £99.99 online but thanks to Argos's current Big Red Event sale, you can use the code RED10 at checkout to claim 10 percent off, which brings the price right down to £89.99.

, so it's a decent £40 saving on the usual RRP. It's popular enough that Argos says it's the second bestselling phone on its entire site.

Of course, a phone that sells for about one tenth of the price of the S25 Ultra has cut many corners to get there, and Express.co.uk has not tested this phone, so we can't speak to its performance. At this price, you can expect the Galaxy A05s to be very basic and suited to those who simply need a smartphone to make calls, send texts and use WhatsApp, snap photos and access their Gmail.

It'll work well with all banking apps and simple games too, as well as being bale to fire up Spotify. Just don't buy this phone if you want to play graphically intense games or want a phone that feels snappy - the low-powered processor means things will probably feel quite slow as you tap around the interface.

But if you want to spend as little as possible and still have a Samsung phone with full access to all Android apps via the Google Play Store, this is one of the cheapest possible deals.

The phone has 4G connectivity, not 5G, but will work with any UK SIM card or network. There are even dual SIM slots if you want to keep two lines. Up front is a large 6.7-inch LCD display, and there are three cameras on the back but we only expect the main 50MP one to be any good given the other two lenses are just 2MP.

Also be aware the phone only has 64GB storage, but there is a microSC card slot to expand the memory. According to Samsung, the phone will get security updates until October 31, 2027.

But these things all don't seem to matter so much when this Galaxy costs just £90. If you're in need of the cheapest smartphone possible, this could well be it.
