A massive four-alarm fire broke out in the Oakland Hills on Friday. Officials responded to flames on Interstate Highway 580, Mountain Boulevard and Keller Avenue and evacuations were ordered. The fire broke at around 1:30 PM local time, according to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information page. The Oakland Fire Department said that four to five structures on Mountain Boulevard and Maynard Avenue were impacted.Read More: Several videos emerged from the scene, showing structures buring due to the fire. According to local media reports, over 80 firefighters were on the scene as of 2:30 PM. The fire had spread across eight acres. The CHP, meanwhile, issued a severe traffid alert. Authorities had closed all westbound lanes on I-580. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
