Bengaluru: Sleuths from Central Crime Branch arrested four men on charges of selling IPL cricket match tickets in black. They seized 32 tickets for Saturday's match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The face value of the tickets was Rs 1,200, but the accused were selling them for Rs 10,000 per ticket, CCB police said.
The accused are S Charan Raj, H Harshavardhan Sanklecha, K Vinay, and B Venkata Sai. Of the four, Venkata Sai arranged the tickets, police said.
"Acting on credible information, we first arrested Charan Raj after seizing 12 tickets from him. Based on his statement, we arrested the others and seized 20 more tickets. We are trying to ascertain how they sourced the tickets," an investigating officer said.
