Send Push
AMBALA: After the announcement of ceasefire on Saturday, life in Ambala district returned to its normalcy on Sunday, as the district administration lifted the blackout restrictions.

Earlier, the administration ensured implementation of blackout hours for two days from 8 pm to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, in the district, with residents also largely supporting the call by shutting their businesses early and confining to their home in time.

Ambala DM Ajay Singh Tomer on Sunday issued an appeal to the residents that in view of the end of hostilities at the border, the situation is returning towards normalcy. Hence street lights and markets shall open like in normal times. However, citizens are advised not to use Generator and Inverter during night time for lights situated outside the home. They can use direct supply power, generator and Inverter power for any light inside the home.

The DM said flying of drones is strictly prohibited and anyone flying drones shall be prosecuted.

He also appealed to the residents not to fall for any rumours and only news/directions from official channels and social media accounts of district Administration should be followed.
