NEW DELHI: The Holkar Stadium in Indore was evacuated on Monday following a bomb threat received via email, marking the second such incident in three days. The bomb squad conducted a thorough search but found no suspicious objects on the premises.

"We received information from the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) office that they had received an email threatening to blow up the Holkar Stadium," said Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Yadav.

The MPCA had received a similar threatening email on May 9, which was later confirmed to be a hoax.

Following the threat, authorities immediately evacuated people from the stadium while the bomb squad carried out their search operation.

A police official revealed that Indore has faced multiple fake bomb threats in recent months targeting various locations including the airport, bank branches, hospitals, and schools. One person has been arrested in connection with one of these cases.

The stadium premises were declared safe after no suspicious objects were discovered during the search operation.
