Vadodara: A transwoman has filed an FIR for criminal intimidation and assault against her former partner and his parents at Raopura police station. Cutie Madhani alleged that her ex-partner, Hardik Mer, verbally abused her and told her to die — an incident that reportedly led her to consume sleeping pills a few days ago. Madhani also stated that Mer's parents were opposed to their relationship and had been harassing her.
This marks the second FIR filed by Madhani against Mer and his family.
According to the complaint, Madhani, who underwent gender-affirming surgery to transition, was in a live-in relationship with Hardik for nearly one and a half years. She claimed that the decision to undergo the surgery was influenced by Hardik's desire to be in a relationship with her, and he had allegedly promised to marry her.
"I took a loan to fund my surgery and am still paying the EMIs. But Hardik cheated me and left suddenly," Madhani told the police.
She further alleged that Mer's parents were against the marriage from the beginning and had been mentally harassing her throughout the relationship.
The police have registered the complaint and are investigating the matter.
