KTET exam pattern 2025 The KTET June 2025 exam is divided into four categories based on the teaching level and subject area. Category I is for candidates who wish to teach at the lower primary level (Classes I to V), while Category II is meant for upper primary teachers (Classes VI to VIII). Category III is for high school teachers (Classes IX and X), and Category IV is designed for specialist teachers such as those in language, physical education, art, and similar subjects.
Each category has a separate paper, consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark. There is no negative marking. The total duration of the exam is 2.5 hours per paper. The exam will be held in two shifts each day—the morning session from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
To qualify, candidates from the General and OBC categories must score at least 60%, while those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories must score a minimum of 55%.
