'Frankenstein' trailer: Oscar Isaac as a scientist turns Jacob Elordi into a terrifying monster

Guillermo del Toro is on his way to making another hit, and it is nothing short of spine-chilling and amazing. The director’s latest feature, ‘Frankenstein’, takes the classic tale of the monster with modern characters with his own flair added to it. The first teaser trailer has officially dropped that shows Jacob Elordi as the monster in ‘Frankenstein’.

Guillermo del Toro’s new look at Mary Shelley’s classic features ‘The Kissing Booth’ actor Jacob Elordi as the monster, while Oscar Isaac takes on the role of Victor Frankenstein.


Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance and Christoph Waltz will also be joining.

Why this ‘Frankenstein’ is specialDel Toro is a master at making monsters come to real life on the big screen, which makes this project all the more special. He has previously worked on ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’, which ended up earning him three Oscars, as well as the popular film ‘The Shape of Water’, which got four Academy Awards.

He also has experience in turning classic tales to reality, previously with ‘Pinocchio’, making this film all the more special.

Public reacts to new look from ‘Frankenstein’ trailerAs the trailer dropped online for the global audience as well, fans and netizens alike took to their social media accounts to celebrate the release and express their excitement. One commented under the trailer’s official post that “Looks incredible. Didn’t think anything could live up to — or surpass — the Kenneth Branagh film, but this is clearly something special. Can’t wait!” while another shared that “This is Victor’s story, and I’m glad. He’s a madman, and Isaac is PERFECT casting. The prosthetics and makeup (from what little can be seen) on Elordi look really classic.”
