Emraan Hashmi’s war drama ‘Ground Zero’, based on a real-life anti-terror operation, is nearing the end of its theatrical run with underwhelming box office numbers.
As per Sacnilk reports, the film has collected Rs 8.27 crore worldwide in 15 days since its release on April 25, 2025.
Steep Drop in Collections and Limited Impact
The box office trend shows a steep drop after the initial few days. From earning Rs 8 lakhs on Day 3, the film’s daily collections plummeted to mere thousands by Day 15 — only Rs 1 lakh. With no traction overseas and minimal buzz, ‘Ground Zero’ has quietly slipped off the radar for most viewers.
A Real-Life Operation That Struggled at the Box Office
Despite its gripping premise, 'Ground Zero' failed to draw in large audiences. The film chronicles the covert mission led by BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey (played by Emraan Hashmi) to eliminate Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Ghazi Baba, the mastermind behind the 2001 Parliament attack. With only ₹7.66 crore in India net and zero overseas collections reported, the film's commercial performance has been underwhelming.
Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, 'Ground Zero' offers a detailed look at the emotional and tactical toll of such missions. However, despite an earnest performance by Hashmi and a patriotic storyline, the film received mixed reviews, with critics citing a lack of cinematic intensity and inconsistent pacing.
