Chennai Super Kings ' Ravindra Jadeja smashed the longest six of IPL 2025, measuring 109 meters, during a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Despite his promotion to number four and an unbeaten 77 off 45 balls, CSK fell short in their chase of RCB's target, finishing at 211 for five.
The record-breaking six came in the 17th over when Jadeja hit former CSK bowler Lungi Ngidi's full-toss over deep square-leg. This surpassed Heinrich Klaasen's previous season record of 107 meters for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Mumbai Indians.

Young Mhatre, aged 17, played a spectacular innings of 94 runs off 48 balls, including nine fours and five sixes. He formed a crucial 114-run partnership for the third wicket with Jadeja.
Mhatre started aggressively, scoring 26 runs off Bhuvneshwar Kumar during the Power Play. His innings ended when he was caught by Krunal Pandya off Ngidi's bowling, with CSK at 172 for two in 16.2 overs.
The match's momentum shifted when Ngidi dismissed Dewald Brevis for zero. The final over drama saw Yash Dayal defending 15 runs, including MS Dhoni's dismissal, leaving CSK needing four runs off the last ball.
Shivam Dube could only manage a single off Dayal's full-length delivery on the final ball, resulting in RCB's victory. This win propelled RCB to the top of the IPL table with 16 points from 11 matches.
