NEW DELHI: Kunal Singh Rathore made his Indian Premier League debut for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Sunday in IPL 2025 .

The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batter hails from Kota, Rajasthan, and has become the first cricketer from the city to earn an IPL contract, marking a significant achievement for both him and his hometown.

Rathore was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 30 lakh during the IPL 2025 mega auction. He joined the Royals as one of three wicketkeeper-batters in their squad, alongside captain Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel.
