Bill Belichick’s name has long been synonymous with discipline, strategy, and multiple Super Bowl championships. But lately, the NFL legend has been making headlines for reasons that have nothing to do with football. The focus has shifted to his personal life—specifically, his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson . And while Belichick may want the spotlight to return to Xs and Os, the public's curiosity only seems to be growing.

What Bill Belichick’s children think about his girlfriend Jordon Hudson might shock some fans

Bill Belichick, 73, and Hudson first crossed paths in February 2021 on a flight from Boston to West Palm Beach. Their quiet interactions soon evolved into something deeper, eventually going public in June 2024. Since then, Hudson has taken on a more active role not just in his personal life, but also in his professional endeavors. She has even filed for trademarks and acted as Belichick’s unofficial publicist—a role that has drawn a fair amount of criticism.

Following a recent segment on CBS Sunday Morning, where Hudson abruptly intervened during Belichick’s interview, concerns about her influence intensified. Fans and insiders alike began questioning whether the football mastermind had handed over too much control to someone so young. “It’s amateur hour and it’s showing,” a source told Page Six. “They don’t know what they are doing and trying to control everything. They don’t trust anyone else. He’s handed off the ball to her.”

Amid the growing chatter, a new layer of the story has emerged—his children’s perspective. Belichick shares three adult children—Amanda, Stephen, and Brian—with his ex-wife, Debby Clarke Belichick. All three have followed in their father’s footsteps into the coaching world. Amanda is the head coach of Holy Cross’ women’s lacrosse team, while Stephen and Brian recently joined the University of North Carolina’s football staff, where Belichick is preparing for his first college coaching season after decades in the NFL.

Despite the generational gap and public skepticism, Belichick’s children appear to be approaching the situation with cautious optimism. According to a report from People, “His children want the best for their dad but like most family members, they hope this is a good choice for him.” That sentiment reflects both their love for their father and a natural concern for how the relationship might impact his legacy.

Interestingly, insiders maintain that the romance between Belichick and Hudson isn’t some publicity stunt. “The relationship is real despite the age difference,” a source told People. Hudson, a former college cheerleader, has been described as someone with a methodical approach to life. “She is the kind of person who has a plan and is diligent about sticking to it… She is young but mature beyond her years.”

However, not everyone in the extended family is impressed. Stephen Belichick’s wife, Jennifer Schmitt, seemed to criticize Hudson’s handling of the CBS interview on social media, fueling speculation about underlying tensions.

For now, it seems Belichick is trying to regain control of the narrative. Reports suggest he’s seeking professional PR help to deflect the noise and refocus attention on his upcoming book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football. Still, with Hudson deeply embedded in his day-to-day life and a new chapter at UNC about to begin, it remains to be seen whether the football icon can keep the media’s attention on his playbook instead of his personal life.
