But the battle was not so easy and she recently opened up about the emotional and mental toll brain cancer had on her, apart from the physical pain that it caused.

In March 2025, Michael Strahan’s daughter, Isabella Strahan appeared on Beyond the Battlefront podcast and opened up about the mental toll her brain cancer had on her and her thoughts.
When 18 year old Isabella Strahan was diagnosed with cancer in 2023, she had just started her classes at the prestigious University of Southern California . While she was trying to adapt to her new lifestyle, she was forced to leave college just 50 days after she joined due to her illness.
When she left her college in October 2023, she did not know how long she was gone for as she started her cancer treatment. But fortunately, by August 2024, Isabella Strahan had gone back to her life of being a college freshman and enjoying a normal life.
Isabella Strahan spoke about going back to college life on the podcast and said, “It’s definitely interesting, like now being back at school. Seeing all the friend groups that formed when I wasn’t there.”
She added, “But honestly, it’s an adjustment because, of course, I was gone for most of the year. I know a lot of people and a lot of people have met me. But we’re not superclose, and that’s hardest part. Just kind of just kind of disappearing,”

However, Isabella Strahan managed to get over her negative thoughts once she beat cancer. She has since reunited with her twin sister, Sophia Strahan, and the two are often spotted on luxurious vacations with each other and their close friends.
The NFL legend and the host of Good Morning America, Michael Strahan, has also spoken about how his daughter’s illness affected him and completely changed his perspective on life.
