“Vegas is a different beast”: Oilers' captain Connor McDavid looks ahead to Vegas series but fans doubt a win is possible

The Edmonton Oilers’ team and its fans are beyond excited as they finally won against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. As fans are busy celebrating the Edmonton Oilers’ recent win, Connor McDavid has put his focus on winning against the Vegas Golden Knights. Recently, Connor McDavid spoke about it but fans dont really agree with him.

After the Edmonton Oilers won against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night, Connor McDavid spoke to the media and as per Sportsnet, he said, "Obviously, we're already looking ahead here.”

The captain of the Edmonton Oilers added, “We owe Vegas a good series. We don't forget what happened two years ago. Looking forward to it. Obviously, exciting tonight to get it done. But get ready to go for another big series."

While the Edmonton Oilers did manage a win against the Los Angeles Kings for now four years consecutively, fans dont agree about a win against the Vegas Golden Knights.


A fan took to X and posted, “Vegas will send the Edmonton cry babies home once again!!!”, while another fan wrote, “Nah, vegas a diff beast compared to kings lol.”

A third fan commented, “Won't happen Vegas is prob 10x better than oilers for sure! Gonna be over real quick”.

Another user posted, ‘Vegas should win this if we’re being honest.”


However, other fans are supporting the Edmonton Oilers. A fan wrote, “You know what they say: revenge is a dish best served hot😁 And hot is exactly what the Oilers are going to be heading into this series after reeling off 4 straight against a tough Kings team!!! If we play well, get the goaltending and get in Hill’s face, we can beat these guys!!”

Another fan commented, “The Captain. Love to see it. That confidence, oilers rolling into round 2.”

For now, Connor McDavid and his team, the Edmonton Oilers, are celebrating their win against the Los Angeles Kings and are gearing up to face the Vegas Golden Knights.
