MMA is an aggressive sport where bullies have become a common thing over time. They come in the form of trash talks, war of words and might as well pan out in an out-and-out brawl between the fighters involved. The MMA circuit witnessed one such incident when Paddy Pimblett , one of the top lightweight contenders, went full out on Denis Frimpong for trash-talking the Baddy’s teammate, coach and even bullying kids from Pimblett’s gym.
Paddy Pimblett avenged the trash talk directed towards his team and coach by Denis FrimpongPaddy Pimblett has displayed a strong notion against bullies, specifically through his act when he went down to a rival gym, Manchester Top Team , challenging Denis Frimpong to settle down the issues between them once and for all.

The beef between the fighters kicked off when Denis allegedly bullied two kids from Pimblett’s gym - Jake and George. Pimblett used to train with these boys and Denis’s nature as the bully laid the foundation for bad blood between the fighters. Denis, during his bout with George, trash-talked the latter, dragging in the latter’s deceased grandmother during the war of words.

Pimblett narrated the incident chronologically, “When he fought George…He was saying mad stuff to George, saying like your grandma’s going to go to hell. Well in hell. Because his grandma’s dead.” the words affected Pimblett, “All those words rubbed me off in the wrong way. And then george beat him up for four rounds and subbed him in the 4th.”

Despite George defeating the trash-talker. Pimblett could never shake off the words spoken to his fellow training partners. A year later, after Denis joined the Manchester Top team, the fighter had stepped into the ring against an athlete who, many considered to be unfit for the bout.

“Literally he fought someone that they had just pulled off the street. The kid was about six stone soaking wet. Denis won by TKO and started celebrating like he just beat Islam Makhachev.” Pimblett explained the context that led to Denise insulting the coach.

My strength and conditioning coach Paul Reed commented on the fight saying, ‘This is embarrassing.’ And Denis put back to him, ‘You stick to S&C, old man. Leave the fighters to fight.’ That was it. I went at him. I couldn’t help it.”

Pimblett came up with multiple offers for a spar session with Denis that met with rejection. The Baddy even asked for a date during New Year’s Eve before going on a holiday but the offer was declined once again. While Pimblett was away, Denise continued the trash talk, which further instigated the former athlete. After multiple back and forth over texts, of which Pimblett shared the screenshots on his YouTube channel, a date was fixed.

Before the session started, the fighters cleared the air on the rules of the bout. “We both agreed that we don’t stop until someone’s unconscious. Taps don’t count. Quitting to strikes doesn’t count. We just go until someone’s out cold.”

The session started and it ended in about 15 mins after Pimblett nearly choked Denis on ground, before the members of the gym rushed in to separate the fighters from each other.

“A lot people say I got no honor. I got no this. I got no that. I have seen Denis say in an interview since, ‘If I would have knocked him unconscious, I would have jumped on him and landed a few more strikes’”

Pimblett was even up for a second chance to go on from the feet once more, but Denis refused to continue at the moment. Both fighters shook their hands and the beef was settled right out there.

The Baddy has made it known to the MMA community that no one messes with the fighter, his team and his coaches after this one incident. While a lot of people criticized Pimblett for being ruthless during the spar, the fighter had his own reasons to not let go of Denis easily.
