Who Is Ruby Tuesday Matthews? If you've spent any time on Australian Instagram, you've probably come across Ruby Tuesday Matthews. Known for her effortlessly chic style and “real-mum” content, she has built a loyal following of over 260K fans. At just 30-something, Ruby is already a mum of three. She shares her two sons, Rocket and Mars, with her former partner Ryan Heywood, and her daughter Holiday, born in 2022, with fiancé Shannan Dodd. The couple got engaged in mid-2021 and have been living the slow coastal life ever since.

The drunk driving case that puts the spotlight on the familyThe buzz began after Ruby and Dodd both appeared in Mullumbimby Local Court on July 9, where they reportedly pleaded guilty to mid-range drink driving. In addition, Dodd faced a charge for driving with an expired license. According to reports, he’ll now be completing a Traffic Offender Program before his sentencing, which is scheduled for August 6, 2025.

Dodd was represented in court by John D. Weller, a solicitor known for handling high-profile traffic and drug offence cases. The court proceedings have stirred interest not just because of the charges, but because of Ruby’s internet fame.
Parenting, CBD, and internet momentsJust weeks before the court hearing, Ruby had been candid online about the struggles of parenting. In a now-viral Instagram story, she popped CBD gummies mid-meltdown, joking, “Lord help me. You all need this to get through life.” Her followers praised the raw honesty, but others didn’t.

And earlier this year, she documented a scary parenting moment when little Holiday broke her tooth in a bathroom accident. “Put it in milk!” she advised fellow parents after rushing to the dentist.

From laid-back Byron Bay mum to national headline, Ruby Tuesday Matthews is now navigating motherhood, social media, and legal chaos, all under the public eye. Whether it’s family drama or wellness tips, her life continues to grab attention both online and in courtrooms.
