Wuthering Waves first anniversary update, release date, new characters, new features and more

With the anniversary of Wuthering Waves , developer Kuro Games has revealed its plans for the boldest upgrade yet. Version 2.3 is expected to go live on April 29, 2025, coinciding with the game’s Steam launch, and promising a packed celebration for fans across the globe.
Release date & livestreamSave the date, Kuro Games will be live streaming on April 19, 2025, at 19:00 (UTC+8). Starting this special stream will be a focus on the upcoming major content in Version 2.3, as well as first looks at anniversary exclusive features. Carrying the rumor that Version 2.2 was a short patch, this update is truly anticipated to be longer, allowing everyone more time to revel.

New Characters: Zani and CiacconaThe hype is on two characters:

• Zani: 5-star Spectro Gauntlet wielder, said to stack Spectro Frazzle hastily and could promote DPS melee attacks to be best later with characters for example, Phoebe.
• Ciaccona: Another 5-star character, Ciaccona affects the battle with her Aero Pistols and would likely adopt the Aero Erosion mechanic, making her perfectly great with fresh Rover debut (Aero). These new characters only add to the team builds, but it suggests a growing spectrum of elemental strategies. Anniversary Rewards and Login Events

A seven-day login event with rewards increasing day by day for the anniversary will also be presented to all players by Kuro Games.

Steam launch & collaborationsVersion 2.3 will also include the official Steam launch of Wuthering Waves. It will make the game evermore accessible.
