NEW DELHI: Hours after addressing his parents and accusing a "backstabber" early Sunday, former RJD minister Tej Pratap Yadav penned another emotional note this time for his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav , calling him his "Arjun" and likening himself to Krishna. “Those who dream of separating me from my Arjun, you will never succeed in your conspiracies, you can take Krishna's army but not Krishna himself,” he wrote on X.
In the same post, Tej Pratap reaffirmed his loyalty to Tejashwi amid the ongoing family feud. “I will soon expose every conspiracy. Just have faith my brother, I am with you in every situation. Right now I am far away, but my blessings were and will always be with you. My brother, take care of mummy papa, Jaichand is everywhere, inside as well as outside,” he wrote.
The message came hours after Tej Pratap shared a separate emotional post addressed to his parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, pleading for their love and support. “My dear mom and dad… My whole world is just you two. You and any order given by you are greater than God. I just need your trust and love and nothing else,” he said.
His back-to-back posts follow a dramatic week in Bihar politics , after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad expelled Tej Pratap from both the party and the family for allegedly disregarding “moral values” and hurting the party’s principles. The action came after a controversial Facebook post from Tej Pratap in which he spoke of a 12-year-long relationship with a woman named Anushka — a post he later claimed was the result of his account being hacked.
Announcing his decision on May 26, Lalu had said: “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice… The actions, public conduct, and irresponsible behavior of my eldest son are not in accordance with our family’s principles. Therefore, under these circumstances, I am removing him from the party and the family.”
Tejashwi Yadav, seen as the RJD's main face in Bihar, distanced himself from the controversy but defended his brother’s right to make personal choices. “We cannot tolerate such things. If it's about my big brother, political life and personal life are different. He has the right to make his personal decisions,” he told reporters.
The escalating feud has once again brought into focus the Yadav family's internal divisions including Tej Pratap’s acrimonious split from wife Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Rai.
